Now Available - Our 2 race prepared Elise S2's for Track Day HireNovice or Expert its all the same fun! | If you want to drive one of the most excting track cars there is or already own a Lotus but don't want to drive it on track then we can hire you a race prepared S2 Elise. It has 150 bhp with a 0-60 of 5 seconds, full roll cage, fire extinguisher and electrical cut out.The performance has also been improved with race specification brakes, suspension and a race exhaust. We get the car to the track you want to drive - you just turn up and drive. We run sessions for different abilities and include an instructor and engineer. We are happy to cater for group events when the car(s) can be shared with friends or colleagues - this way the cost can be shared.
Our ethos is to look after our toys and make sure that everyone gets to play - so we (and our insurers!) insist on an instructor for all track day drivers. |

What to Expect on the Day | On arrival to the track you will sign on with circuit staff and sit through a safety briefing before heading to the Lambogenie pit area to meet the team and the car.The first driver in the group will jump in the passenger seat with the Instructor for “sighting laps” which allow you to see where the circuit goes before you get in the drivers seat. After your sighting laps it’s your turn to drive! Before leaving the pits, the Instructor will want to know if this is your first time or if you’re an experienced Track Day driver and what you want to learn over the course of the day. It’s ok to say you just want to have fun and don’t be shy about being nervous! For the first lap or two the Instructor will give very basic guidance so they can work out what you are good at and what they can help you with best. Take your time to get used to driving on a race track and build your confidence up.Once you reach the end of your first session, the Instructor will direct you back into the pits where you will return to the Lambogenie pit area. Once you have parked up your Instructor will tell you how you did and let you know what you can look forward to in the next session. We operate a 4 driver per car system, which offers each driver approximately 1 & ½ hours driving time, Most importantly, at the end of the day expect to be tired but grinning from ear to ear! |
| Race Car Hire | Have you been inspired by the success of the Elise Trophy race series? One of the benefits of this series is that it has helped Lotus Elise and Exige owners make the transition from road to track cheaply and easily. Class A is for road going cars with little or no modification - except the compulsory safety features (roll cage, safety cut out and fire extinguisher).
So you want to be a racing god? Here's a basic guide. First, you need to get your ARDs (Association of Racing Drivers) race license. The Motorsports Association lists schools around the country where you can do this.
Second, your need all the gear - crash helmet (known as a lid), race suit and fire-proof undies - plenty of race suppliers out there on the web.
Next, you need a car. This is where we can help. We hire out a race prepared Elise (see above for specification), complete with professional race engineer for the day to help with things like tyre pressures, refuelling as well as general advice about the circuit proceedures, do's and dont's, etc. You don't have to worry about trailering the car to the circuit - we do all that - you just turn up and drive.
Finally, you need to contact Elise Trophy regarding entering a race. | | |
